This Oz Life

This morning I picked up the sick pup. He did really well overnight and now just needs a little extra care to keep the blood sugar levels stable. If you ever have a pet emergency (all emergencies happen to me on the weekends!) and your vet is closed, go to MedVet. They were friendly, organized, and got us right in. Dogs + Xylitol do NOT mix. I came home from a relaxing yoga class to find a decimated lunchbox with the remnants of a sugar-free gum package. Sebastian had eaten almost an entire pack. I had *heard* that Xylitol is "bad" for dogs, so I thought I would check online real quick. Well, that sent me into a panic so I called MedVet. It has been a while! I was waiting for some excitement, and man did I get it this weekend! I flew to Charlotte Thursday morning for my niece's wedding. Technically she is my niece, but we used to describe ourselves as "twins" (we do not resemble each other at all) or "cousins".
